Is there any way that i can make my hair straight w/o using a straightener? Any way you try to straighten your hair will damage it. It's the heat that damages it. You can use products that will help straighten your hair, but they require the application of heat to actually work. I have had my hair chemically straightened, but the grow out process was horrible. The only thing you can do (this works for me, but might not work for you depending on how curly your hair is) is to try to blow dry your hair only every other day...try using a shower cap. You have to make it quick because the humidity will affect your hair...makes mine frizzy.
I use the following products when I straighten my hair (not often) Biosilk-Silk Straight and Redken #20 hairspray-you need a hairspray you can brush thru, and still have it hold the straightening. When you blowdry your hair, use a good brush that will put a lot of tension on your hair, and then use the straightener to finish flattening your hair. Using your fingers will not work, when I try that my hair curls up more!

i also use a straightning shampoo and conditioner. it straightens ur hair while ur in the shower! its by herball essence. its in a pinkish-purple bottle.

If it's really frizzy after (I know I can't dry my hair, because it's curly and get's really frizzy when I dry and down straighten) apply some shine serum or controlling gel.
If you need to after, you just have straightner the parts you were too fusterated to blow-out.

Otherwise, there's a brush you can get that has holes in the back, and it works like a straightener. You use your blowdryer and dry your hair through the holes in the back of the brush. That works pretty well if you have a lot of time.
A more permanent suggestion is to go to a salon and get it chemically straightened.

I use them and the don't make my hair stick straight but they really help. Also, blow-drying will help. If you still need to use a straightener, use a heat protector like Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Iron Me Flat Finishing Spray to stop some of the heat damage.

I think you should buy anti-curl / anti-frizz spray and use that.
For frizz: use Frizz-ease.
I don't know about the curl part.
Look at your stores.
Use sleek and shine shampoos and conditioners.
Stress, Hormonal activity, or eating too many fatty foods such as chocolate, McDonald's, and soda can cause curly or frizzy hair.
Use a squeeze of fresh lemon during your hair wash in the shower for shine.
Or, wet your hair and keep combing it strait before you go out to make it strait.
Or, just get a perm.

When you get out of the shower, comb your hair and then load it with gel (make sure it's non-sticky or your hair will look DISGUSTING.) and comb the gel throught it again. Blow dry it, brushing it as you dry. It should get pretty straight.
