Put in lots of condition when you're taking a shower. When you get out of the shower, don't towel dry your hair, but gently brush it, getting all the tangles out and getting your part right. Then brush through some 'style straight' gel. Use a blow dryer and blow dry your hair out while also using a flat brush. After I do that- I use my ceramic straightener, but you might not need to, my hair just still has a few waves and is poofy after I do all that.

There is this stuff called pink oil normally for African American people but however it works great with a blow dryer or continuous brushing

A lot of conditioner might just make your hair greasy, and while blowdrying will work, it'll still look poofy.

I had this neat thing one time, it was like a hair brush flat-iron looking thing (brush on both sides, and opened and closed just the same), that I used when I blow dried my hair and it worked just like a flat-iron!

It's so hard to explain..

This isn't what I had, but it looks exactly like it.

It takes awhile when you're blowdrying, but it's well worth it because it won't be as damaging as a flat-iron.
