I don't blow dry my hair. I have extremely thick hair. Blow drying it just makes the problem worse.

But to answer your question Conair makes great products for unruly hair. I still have a curling iron I bought 8 years ago from them.

Edit: Also, I used to use a straightening iron, but it didn't do it for me. I now use a flat iron call Porcelain Series that works really well as long as I prepare my hair the night before by washing it, combing it through while the conditioner is still in, then braiding it to let ut dry.

A straight iron is better than a blow dryer - and so much less damaging. You need a ceramic flat iron. A 'CHI' if you can afford it - but they're pretty expensive. They get a lot hotter, which means you can straighten the hair faster without exposing it to dry heat over and over again.

Alright i have very course thick hair, if you can't get a chi ther eactually priced down to 70$ right now .then get revalon hairstarightner from walmart if works wonders for thick hair.Get the one where you can adjust the temp up to i think like 350 or higher if you can its 17.99 at walmart. also becfore you straighten your hair you alwasy must use a heat defense spray on it i recommened lightly spritzing it with (vo5 24 hour heat defense spary)or any spray that is just used for hair straightners.look for that on the bottle it will save it from frying your hair and make it alot thinner and less thick.and when yuo starighten your hair make sure you start from the bottom and starighten in 3 finger pieces at a time remember spritz lightly with heat defense spary then straighten closet to the root down
