When I got off, I was able to take it out and it was still straight. If you have loose hairs that fall, either leave them if you like, or I used bobbypins to pin them back!

I am not sure what people here are calling a "hair straightener" but what you want to use is a permanent relaxer. You will find it in the black/ethnic section of your drugstore or beauty supply store or you could go to a hair designer that specializes in relaxers. It will relax your waves until your hair grows out, then you retouch the roots of your hair as needed. If your hair is long, you won't need to retouch very often, maybe every three months.

I have thick long frizzy poofy hair. I use Frizz-Ease Straight Answer spray.

I put my hair in four sections while it's wet and do one section at a time. I spray like five pumps and comb through and then blow dry it. After I'm done blow drying I put Paul Mitchell super skinny serum and flat iron small one inch sections at a time.

This works great for me and keeps my hair super straight till i wash it. It only gets super straight and stays when I use the Frizz-Ease spray. You can get it like at walmart.

Try putting your hair in sections. 5 is usually enough for very thick hair. Go from neck to the top of your head. Make sure to use heat protection spray, to stop your hair drying out and getting damaged. =]

I have thick long frizzy poofy hair. I use Frizz-Ease Straight Answer spray.

I put my hair in four sections while it's wet and do one section at a time. I spray like five pumps and comb through and then blow dry it. After I'm done blow drying I put Paul Mitchell super skinny serum and flat iron small one inch sections at a time.

This works great for me and keeps my hair super straight till i wash it. It only gets super straight and stays when I use the Frizz-Ease spray. You can get it like at walmart.

I would try a ceramic flat iron, if that doesn't work there is another way that I haven't personally tried, but I heard it works a lot better. Have someone use a clothes iron and iron you hair straight on an ironing board. I know this girl that has hair like yours and uses that technique. Or, just ask your hair dresser on some ways. None of these will make it straight enough for you to not have to straighten it, but it will help calm the frizzies.

Well, maybe you could relax it?

Here's the thing, yes your hair can get damaged IF you don't take proper care of it afterwards. Meaning, not giving it moisture, and all that.

If you take care of it after you relax it, it should be okay. Making sure you give it moisture and using the right shampoo and conditioner and all that.

Make sure you get it done be a CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL!!!!!! Very important!!!!!!!

Also, you'll need to get touch ups on your hair if you relax it, once every month. Shouldn't be a problem. Although, it does cost a lot of money to relax your hair. But once you relax your hair it'll be shiny and pin straight.

i do this everyday for school, i have naturally really curly and frizzy hair.

what i do is i straighten it at night, and then put it in a low pony tail and sleep wiht it in.

then the next morning you take about 5 minutes to straighten where the binder left a crease mark, ( the rest of your hair will be straight though ) and then your done=]

You know the curling iron that you use to curl your hair well get that and use that to straigten your hair. Most curling irons have a straighten part to it so press that agains your roots not on your scalp but by the wavy part of your hair where your hair starts to wave, and press that all the way down to the bottom of your hair (thats for the surface of your hair). The second part you divide your hair into sections and then use a flat iron and grab a section of your hair and straighten again until its really really straight and repeat that through out your whole head. You can also get this done professionally but its better to do by yourself because you know your head the best. This proceadure might take the whole day it did for me. I have really curly hair but i usuly just texturise it and put in a leave in conditioner so thats different. But if i were you I would leave my hair as it is and just add mosse to it it will give it that wet look it wont go all frizzy and it wont look thick.
