i have very straight hair and want it scrunched

but the one time it did work it only lasted for a little while

anyone have any tips????

Wash and shampoo your hair. Towel dry thoroughly, then put a maximum hold gel into it and comb through to the tips. Set your part and then take sections of your hair, wrapping them around your finger in any way you like - small for very scrunched hair, big for loose waves - all the way up to your scalp. Use a bobby pin or clip and fasten it. Then let it air dry or use the low setting on your blow dryer to dry it faster. When it's dry, remove the pins, shake out your hair and comb through with your fingers, then spray and go.

Another way you might try is to get some pipe cleaners and wind the hair around those, then twist them up and twist the end so it holds. If you want straight pieces in with the scrunched parts, leave small sections out in no particular order as you go.

She uses gel to scrunch it up, alot, while blow drying it.

Then she flips her head up, straighten her part, and sprays tons and tons of hair spray on it.
