Do you reduce frizziness if you blow dry hair straight??

I have naturally wavy hair.. I was thinking about blow drying it straight.. but what kind of brush do I use?? and does blow drying it straight actually help reduce frizziness after it's straight in any way?? please help!!

p.s. I have very thick black hair..

Usually when I blowdry my hair is frizzes out more than usual. It may work for you but it really depends on ur hair

It's best to use a round brush when blow drying, it does tame a little of the frizz, but not much.

From my experience, blow drying will make the hair "look" less frizzy but you still need to maintain your hair with periodic hair cuts to get rid of those split ends. Look for conditioners and frizz treatments in the meantime.

I use a flat paddle brush or a regular brush. I also blow dry my hair upside down (this gives it volume and you dont have to fight with the blow dryer you just follow the blow dryer with the brush). You should use a straightening cream like sunsilks one (it in a purple container) and maybe a mouse and a heat protecting spray. Then you can run a flat iron through it to "seal" the straight in. The frizziness really just depends on the type of hair you have and if its damaged or not.

yes it does, my sister has the same type of hair as you and it works every time. use a paddle brush and a round brush(paddle to untangle and round brush to straighten). use a anti frizz serum or cream to be on the safe side.

i dont know much but with my experience, i also have wavy hair, if you put a straightening cream and heat protection gel in your hair before you blow dry it it should help with frizziness.

When i blowdry my hair, it is frizzy at first but then i run through it with a flat iron, which eliminates it for the rest of the day, as opposed to having frizz slowly appear throughout the day.

I have shoulder length hair, and it is nearly impossible to blowdry it straight without having to flat iron it a bit.
