Hairspray to keep my hair straight?

Okay, I'm male, and I'm your typical long haired metalhead. Only thing is, I can't keep my hair straight. Whenever I go outside, 5 minutes and it starts to curl on the side into an annoying half-circle, which looks stupid and pisses me off. I thought about using hairspray, but I like my hair to be able to move around a lot (especially when headbanging), and hairspray just makes your hair as stiff as a board. Anyone know of a good hairspray that keeps your hair from curling but allows it to move/flow normally?

wow someone i can relate to in the music department! you know that 'annoying half-circle' is sometimes pretty hot on a guy. but if anything hairspray probly wont help. get a straightener or steal your sister/gf/or mother's. find a straightening shampoo, or jut a conditioner. your hair might smell a little girly after that but its ok becuase it will be sexy :)

I know this sounds girly, but blow-drying your hair is a great way to manage natural wave and frizz. Put a little bit of light gel in the ends and comb the ends straight down as you dry your hair. This will help keep your ends under control. (Be careful not to let your wrist curl out as you dry!)

just spray the brush with hairspray then brush ur hair, so then ur hair isnt stiff and sticky but it still holds. i do it all the time and it works fine for me.

Glad you asked.....you can get a perm that will straighten your hair since you like your hair so much...purchase a perm follow instructions the only thing you don't do is put the rods (curlers) in your hair you continue to comb the hair straight down all over your head for the amount of time you would if you had the rods in your hair, and don't get it in your eyes.....now you don't have to worry about straightening irons, gel's, hair sprays....when you have timed out the perm on your head go into the shower and continue to comb your hair straight down, do the rinse as per the box instructions ......get out and towel dry your hair...or on med heat dry your hair....again using a straight down motion with comb or brush dry your hair then get back into shower and apply the neutralizer to your dry hair and continue to use the straightening motion to comb this through your hair for as long as the box says to keep it on your hair again don't get this in your eyes.... rinse this out also at least 5 min.TA_DAH! straight hair with out all of the fuss and muss! Or go to a salon and have a professional do this for you. It is worth it. In a salon the hairdresser can work on the piece that bugs you only, without involving the rest of your head!

Straightening balms are good..and they wont make your hair stiff like hairspray...you would just apply a bit when your hair is damp and then blow dry it straight..a lot of these products actually prevent your hair from getting frizzy and going back to curly/wavy. :)
