I AM a hairdresser. Go to the drug store in the shampoo section. There are all kinds of shampoos and setting lotions for curley/frizzy hair. They WILL straighten the hair but wash out the next time you shampoo. My hair is frizzy AND wavy and I use this stuff. It will keep your hair nice and straight until you wash it out.

It would depend on what type of hair you have. Course hair (which African-Americans have) or medium to fine (most of population) Course hair has to use some kind of relaxer (preferrably no lye kind-is very damaging to hair and scalp) or you might want to try a light styling gel or mouse and blow dry on low heat with a non-vented brush. As you blow dry brush slow with dryer toward ends. Another method is to have someone iron with wax paper (must trust person). The reason your hair remained straight when wet was the straightener used-it chemically changed the structure of your hair. Hope these help!

My children are mixed %26amp; I feel you deeply. They have long curly hair that gets curlier even when water, greece, frizz control (It just keeps your curls from looking and getting bushy), etc.... The best thing I have tried on them would be to wash, condition, and light moisturing lotion, and then FLAT IRON their hair. You can get them at a beauty supply store. They do not burn or pull out your hair in the process. I use this as well. It usually last all day unless it it too humid outside (usually gets curly again) or it is going to rain. They will NEVER need a perm because of their grain. I only use pantene pro v shampoo %26amp; conditioner on their hair. I also use soft and beautiful moisturing lotion. I use childrens detangular as well. Try the flat iron. They are for any type of hair ond for any color of the user. It doesnt matter :)

you could always do something called the Chinese relaxer it make your hair pin straight no matter what kind of hair you have it can also run you about $400-$600.i have really curly hair and when i want to straighten it i use a straightener called the maxi glide its really good.

becarefull with a flat iron. im mixed and i use a flat iron now my hair is badly damaged. you might just need blow dryer
